Delete Your Pinpoint Account
You can delete your account at any time from the app: Settings → Delete Account. If you can't access the app, email info@pinpoint.pw from your account's email address with the subject "Privacy Request", and we'll process it for you.
What happens straight away. Your account is deactivated immediately. Your profile, posts and comments stop being visible to anyone else on Pinpoint, and you're signed out.
The next 90 days. We hold your account for 90 days so you can change your mind. Signing back in during that period cancels the deletion and restores your account as you left it. Nothing is erased during this window.
After 90 days. Your account and its data are permanently deleted, including your profile and login details, your posts and the photos and videos in them, your comments, likes and saved posts, your followers and the accounts you follow, your search history, your notifications, and your device push tokens. This is irreversible — we cannot recover a deleted account, and signing up again won't bring anything back.
What remains, and why. We want to be straightforward about the exceptions:

Messages you sent to other people remain in their chats, much as an email you've sent stays in the recipient's inbox. They're no longer linked to your account or username.

Reports you filed about other accounts remain, with your identity removed, so that moderation decisions already taken remain valid.

If your account was banned, we keep a one-way encrypted fingerprint of your email or phone number for the sole purpose of enforcing that ban.

Records we're legally required to keep, and anonymous statistics that can't identify you.
